A one hour Konga class can burn over 700 calories due to the “switch-up” formula and the sustained, high intensity nature of the workout. The class can even have you burning calories for several hours after as your body expends energy to return to your pre-workout Jungle Body.
The Jungle Body is an unprecedented fitness company that offers wild & exciting Group Fitness classes. It was founded by West Australian Tara Franzinelli. Tara found that group fitness had become dull, lifeless and ineffective. "Australian group fitness is nowhere near up to International standards...not even close to what is on offer in New York, LA and France". She created The Jungle Body with the philosophy to make fitness fun and wild for anyone and everyone.

I personally need a lot of variety in my exercise routine to maintain interest and motivation - this is exactly why I was drawn to Konga. A single Konga class offers a wide range of different dance and fitness styles incorporated with a variety of music. This variety of training styles together with the upbeat and high energy nature of a Konga class improves not only your physical health, but also your mental health - which I consider to be a very important factor of exercise.
